Akeal Hosein is a West Indies left-arm orthodox bowler and a capable lower-order left-handed batsman. He holds the 7th position in the ICC T20 bowling rankings and the 51st position in the ODI bowling rankings. He will play for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2026 season.

  • Best T20I Bowling Figures: Recorded his best figures of 5 wickets for 11 runs (5/11) against Uganda during the 2024 T20 World Cup.

  • West Indies T20 World Cup Record: This 5/11 performance is the best bowling performance by a West Indian in a T20 World Cup match.

  • PSL Hat-trick: Became only the sixth bowler to take a hat-trick in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in March 2024 while playing for Quetta Gladiators.
